Safety Equipment

Choose the right equipment for the job Various items are used to protect the body from physical harm. The following items are available from the Physical Plant Supply Gate or Shop Tool Room.

Supply

Respirators and cartridges (for dusts and chemicals)
Respirator disinfectant
Hardhat suspensions, winterliners, and accessory clips
Goggles (for dust and chemicals)
Goggle replacement lenses
"Plano" safety glasses
"Plano" safety glass replacement lenses (clear & tinted)
Safety glasses, sideshield (plastic & wire screen)
Safety glasses, pocket cases
Safety glasses, de-fogging liquid
Hearing protection, plugs (disposable)
Gloves
For light & heavy-duty general use, welding, chemicals, and irritant materials.
(To obtain gloves, contact your supervisor.)

Tool Room

Goggles
Faceshields
Hardhats (including earmuffs)
Respirator facepieces (get cartridges from Supply)
Hearing muffs
Rainsuits
Rubber boots
Lifeline, harness, rope-grab device
Personal combustible gas monitor

Special personal protective equipment needs should be directed to your Supervisor.
